The B’s Tea

“Each part of my story has provided me with new opportunities to explore the benefits of hands-on learning… The Busy B is the newest chapter.”

Hi! I’m Mrs. Botto! I’ll try to BEE brief as I share my beeswax with you…

I have taught in a variety of educational settings. From public, to non-profit, I have been immersed in education for eight years. I always knew I was meant to be a teacher, but I was unsure of my flight path. I married my honey (another teacher) and we moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire to build our forever comb.

Once settled in the Granite State, I was offered a position as an assistant teacher at a public-charter school with a Montessori focus. It was there that I discovered my passion for constructivism, tactile learning, and the Montessori Method. I experienced my own hands-on learning while I balanced alternative practices with common core teaching standards. During this time, I completed my student-teaching, obtained my certification, and began building a curriculum where I could express my creativity and instruct with diverse techniques.

In 2017, I was offered my own classroom at a Montessori school in Manchester, NH. I was provided with a setting to create a child-centered classroom, with my own curriculum, that encouraged independence, self-confidence, and explorative learning. During this time, I completed my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Special Education. My graduate work provided me with an advanced understanding of educational theories and differientied instruction.

Each part of my story has provided me with new examples and unique opportunities to explore the benefits of hands-on learning and to develop my own base of knowledge. The Busy B is the newest chapter. I hope you’ll let me BEE a part of your child’s flight path.

Let’s swarm together and get to work!
